Organizers said it was first and largest student-led hackathon in South Carolina to be recognized by Major League Hacking, an internationally recognized organization for student hackathons across North America and Europe.

Amazon Web Services was the title partner for the event. The company provided $12,000, organized learning sessions for students, and sent seven recruiting and technical representatives to the event, organizers said.
