Matt Morris serves as president of the Student Veterans Association at Clemson.

Matt Morris has been busy. Very busy, actually. As acting president of Clemson’s SVA chapter, he has helped the organization’s members stay active from both service and socialization perspectives. This past year, the SVA has worked with Purple Heart Homes, West Point Society, Veteran One and Upstate-Carolina Adaptive Golf — just to name a few.

Morris is a U.S. Navy veteran of six and a half years, serving as a nuclear machinist’s mate and engineering laboratory technician. Now, at 28 years old, he is utilizing similar skills as a non-traditional student in Clemson’s mechanical engineering undergraduate program.

In this week’s podcast, Morris details his experiences in the Navy, his role as president of the SVA, Clemson’s commitment to assisting student veterans and military-connected students and some of his interests outside of school.
