Gary Wiser is an important cog in the hierarchy of Student Affairs professionals at Clemson University. As the director of Fraternity and Sorority Life, his office oversees the advising of student-led organizations who are charged with providing excellent leadership, scholarship, service and social opportunities and to better prepare its members to make significant contributions beyond the undergraduate experience.

Wiser earned a bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University in his hometown of Murfreesboro before collecting both master’s and doctorate degrees from Western Kentucky University.

In this week’s podcast, Wiser explains his path to Clemson, the structure of his office staff, changes within recruitment to both fraternities and sororities, and the benefits of involvement in today’s Greek Life community.
