To continually improve the effectiveness of Clemson’s strategic operations and enhance alignment with the University’s strategic plan, the University is taking proactive steps to align key functions like strategic project and initiatives management and continuous improvement under the Office of Institutional Excellence, effective September 15.
Excellence functions currently residing in Finance & Operations, Student Affairs, the Provost’s Office, as well as Enrollment Management and Institutional Effectiveness housed within the Provost’s Office, will be aligned into the Office of Institutional Excellence. This strategic move will allow Clemson to be better positioned to deliver on the priorities outlined in Clemson Elevate and reflects the University’s commitment to operational excellence and long-term sustainability.
This alignment will:
- strengthen the integration of strategy and operations, ensuring a more cohesive approach to institutional priorities.
- streamline and align resources across the University to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- provide enhanced support and guidance to individuals in institutional excellence-related roles, empowering them to succeed.
- promote consistency and collaboration across strategic planning, strategic initiatives, continuous improvement and related functions.
- standardize processes, frameworks and reporting, enabling clearer insights and more informed decision-making.
These changes reflect Clemson’s proactive commitment to excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement. Evaluation of the functions highlighted above will be ongoing. Individuals involved in this transition have been notified as well as their supervisors.
