Healthy Campus and Fraternity and Sorority Life are teaming up to host the second annual Spring Break Bash – Stay Safe and Thrive event in the Quad on March 4 from 2-5 p.m., with a rain date of March 9. Open to all students, the event promotes safety, well-being and responsible decision-making as students prepare for spring break.

This interactive celebration will offer education and resources on alcohol and other drug misuse prevention, interpersonal violence prevention, physical health, travel safety and overall well-being. In addition to general resources, students will receive information specific to destinations they may be traveling to, along with practical tips for enjoying spring break while looking out for themselves and their friends.

Resources and representation from campus and community partners committed to student health, well-being and safety will be featured, including Public Safety, Fraternity and Sorority Life Wellness Advocates, Creative Inquiry for Health Promotion Outreach, Support and Assessment students, the Clemson Home Dining Nutrition Team, Pickens County Advocacy Center and FAVOR Upstate, among others.

“Spring Break Bash is an opportunity to educate and empower students to prioritize their safety in any environment, especially during spring break, when they may be traveling to unfamiliar places,” said Trish Robinson, director of Fraternity and Sorority Life. “Our goal is to provide resources and help students think proactively so they can enjoy their break safely and return ready to finish the semester strong. We’re excited to bring the campus community together for this event.”

Spring break safety tips and event information will be shared on the Healthy Campus and Fraternity and Sorority Life Instagram accounts as it becomes available.
