Dear Students,
We have reached the midpoint of the semester, and I want to pause and recognize the effort each of you is making. Whether you are balancing exams, projects, work commitments or responsibilities beyond campus, your dedication matters. Midterms are this week, and they can bring both momentum and challenges. It’s important to remember you are not expected to navigate it alone.
At Clemson, personal well-being is central to your success. Seeking support is not a sign of weakness; it’s a sign of strength and self-awareness. The Clemson Family is here to walk alongside you, both in moments of celebration and in times when you need encouragement to persevere.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, uncertain or simply need guidance, I encourage you to explore available resources:
- Healthy Campus Well-Being and Safety Resources (Canvas): A centralized page with tools and support to enhance your well-being. Add it to your Canvas dashboard and access it anytime by clicking the ‘Help’ icon in the menu.
- CARE Network: Often a starting point if you are unsure where to turn, you can submit a referral, and staff in the Office of Advocacy and Success will follow up with personalized outreach to campus and community partners.
- Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS): This team in Redfern Health Center offers confidential support, mental health education, stress-management strategies and workshops. Learn more online.
- Therapy Assistance Online (TAO): This is a flexible, self-guided mental health resource available through CAPS to help you build coping skills and resilience at your own pace.
- National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (988): If you are in crisis or feeling overwhelmed, call or text 988 for 24/7 confidential support.
You belong here. Your goals, health and future matter deeply to this community. Keep going. Reach out when you need support. Together, we will continue building an environment where every student can thrive, inside and outside the classroom.
