Thursday, May 15, was a memorable evening celebrating the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine (PCVM), graciously hosted by Mike and Alicia Mansuetti (pictured below). Supporters, veterinarians and students came together to reflect on how much progress has been made in building South Carolina’s first College of Veterinary Medicine. The inspiring gathering was filled with energy, pride and a shared sense of purpose as the Clemson Family united in support of this historic and transformative endeavor.

The PCVM represents more than a new chapter for Clemson University—it marks a bold and visionary step forward in advancing animal health, veterinary education and community well-being; it represents a commitment to innovation, excellence and service that will benefit animals and people in South Carolina and beyond. The event, in part, honored those who’ve laid the foundation for our college and celebrated the students, leaders and supporters who will shape its future.

“I was honored to be a part of this inspiring evening,” said Dean Marks. “The Mansuettis were so kind to host the event and provide this opportunity for supporters to get to know the college and our mission better. It was a special moment to mark this historic undertaking. What an exciting time for Clemson University and the State of South Carolina!” The PCVM continues to make progress in constructing our new seven-building campus, hiring faculty and staff and preparing for an important accreditation visit in early June.
