One of South Carolina’s most scenic 5K road races is returning to Clemson University for a fifth consecutive year, bringing the promise of beautiful fall colors, friendly competition and a chance to support student organizations.

The Clemson Fit Run will be held at 9 a.m. on Oct. 27 in the South Carolina Botanical Garden off Perimeter Road in Clemson.

Runners and walkers of all abilities are encouraged to join. Registration is open to the general public.

The race is hosted by the student advisory boards in the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences and the College of Science. Proceeds help fund networking events throughout the academic year.

Registration costs $25 through Oct. 12 and then goes up to $30. The fee includes a T-shirt.

Clemson University students, faculty and staff can save $5 on registration by using promo code CLEMSON20.

Race participants in the hosting colleges are encouraged to form departmental teams to enhance the spirit of friendly competition.
