Pope Lecture Series addresses attacks on Western Civilization

Two highly regarded American intellectuals will discuss the virtues and vices of Western Civilization at Clemson University as part of the spring 2020 John W. Pope Lecture Series.

Co-hosted by the Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism and the Ayn Rand Institute, the lecture, “Is Western Civilization Worth Saving,?” will be held Wednesday, March 4, 4:30-6 p.m., in the Tillman Auditorium, 101 Gantt Circle, Clemson.

Author, blogger and contributing editor at New York magazine, Andrew Sullivan, and Yaron Brook, host of the Yaron Brook Show and former executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute, will headline the discussion on how Western Civilization has come under attack on college campuses in recent years.

The pair will discuss what within Western Civilization is worth preserving and what should be reformed.
