The Division of Research launched a new digital intake form via InfoEd for researchers to more efficiently begin the process of submitting proposals for research funding.
The form will reduce unnecessary duplication for both faculty and administrative staff, while providing improved data integrity, real-time reporting and expedited response from support staff.

The InfoEd form collects information on research involving human subjects or hazardous materials, conflicts of interest, data security risks, intellectual property and other regulatory matters that may require assistance from Division of Research staff who help principal investigators manage proposals for funding and research compliance. Submitting the form will notify the appropriate pre-award contact in an individual’s college to begin the proposal submission process.
To complete the intake form, access InfoEd here:
- Click “Sponsored Programs” in the navigation bar on the left side of the page.
- Click “Submit New Proposal Intake Form.”
- Complete the questionnaire. The form will route to your college pre-award office and you will be contacted by a grants coordinator for next steps.
The new form is part of a broader effort by the Division of Research to capitalize on existing technologies to provide more efficient, transparent services to the Clemson research community. The Division created the Electronic Research Administration office (ERA) last fall to evaluate, improve and streamline the use of InfoEd and other technological resources aimed at reducing administrative burden for faculty and staff, as well as to provide new information tools to inform research activities and progress.
Already, simplified processes have been introduced to request non-disclosure, material transfer and other research-related agreements through InfoEd, simplifying researchers’ ability to track progress of negotiations in real time.
