More than 5,000 students set to graduate in May; Spring Commencement details announced

More than 5,000 students are set to earn bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from Clemson University in May. Doctoral Commencement and Commencement for bachelor’s and master’s graduates are both scheduled to be held in Littlejohn Coliseum. Doctoral Commencement is set for 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, followed by Commencement for bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates across three ceremonies (9 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 6 p.m.) on Thursday, May 8 and Friday, May 9.

Tickets are not issued, but graduates are asked to limit to a maximum of six guests. Doors open one hour prior to Doctoral Commencement and two hours prior to Thursday and Friday ceremonies.

Magnetometers are present at all entrances to Littlejohn Coliseum and the facility’s clear bag policy is utilized for faculty, staff, graduates and guests. The north entrance (off of Ravenel Road) features ADA parking and wheelchairs are available for individuals with accessibility needs. General parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the coliseum.

Guest services is located in Burton Gallery, on the south end of the coliseum. Additionally, stroller/walker check-in is available in the east corner next to Burton Gallery and separate areas for first aid and lactation are also located near the same area.

Graduates are asked to enter Littlejohn at the VIP entrance from the southeast corner of the Avenue of Champions to be directed to check-in with the Registrar’s staff. They will then be directed to the Swann Pavilion practice gym to line up for the processional. Graduates line up and move onto the main floor alphabetically by college. Attending faculty interested in taking part in the processional are asked to enter the facility at the VIP entrance from the southeast corner of the Avenue of Champions.

All Commencement ceremonies are live streamed by Clemson TV. The complete list of graduates will be published on the Clemson University website.

  • Doctoral Commencement

Thursday, May 8 – Bachelor’s graduates

9 a.m.

  • College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences
  • Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business (select majors)
    • Accounting; Economics; Financial Management

1:30 p.m.

  • College of Architecture, Art and Construction
  • Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business (select majors)
    • Graphic Communications; Management; Marketing

6 p.m.

  • College of Arts and Humanities
  • College of Education
  • College of Science

Friday, May 9 – Bachelor’s and master’s graduates

9 a.m.

  • College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences

1:30 p.m.

  • College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences

6 p.m.

  • Master’s level programs (all academic colleges)
