Michael Allen Clark of Fort Myers named to Clemson Alumni Association board

CLEMSON, South Carolina — The Clemson Alumni Association has named Michael Allen Clark of Fort Myers to its board of directors. His term will begin July 1.

Clark earned his Bachelor of Science in business management from Clemson in 1990. He is president of United Mechanical Inc., a mechanical contracting company specializing in commercial and residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical service that employs more than 200 individuals on the west coast of Florida.

Since graduating, Clark has remained an active member of the Clemson community. He has served as chair on the Parent Council Advisory Board and recently created the Hugh and Ruth Clark Class of ’62 Scholarship Endowment in honor of his parents. He is also a member of the Florida Gulf Coast Clemson Club.

Clark has also served on the board of directors for the United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades and Okeechobee counties and organizes Stockings for Kids, an organization that fills more than 2,500 stockings annually for children in the Fort Myers area.

The alumni board has 22 members and is the governing body for the Clemson Alumni Association. Primary responsibilities of the board include general oversight of the programs and initiatives of the association, financial audit and review, the establishment of governing policies and strategic planning.
