Student Health Services (SHS) is an integrated, outpatient organization comprised of three divisions: Medical Services, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and Healthy Campus. SHS is one of 17 student health centers in the United States accredited by The Joint Commission. This recognition speaks to SHS commitment to quality patient care and safety.
SHS provides ambulatory care for illness and injury, pharmacy, lab, X-ray and specialty services, including a sexual health clinic, sports medicine, allergy and immunization, and travel clinics.
For after-hours care, SHS has partnered with MUSC Health to provide a virtual urgent care service for Clemson University and Bridge to Clemson students who are physically present in the state of South Carolina. This service is accessible 24/7 and online visits are free for registered Clemson and Bridge students. For more information about MUSC Virtual Urgent Care click here.
Mental well-being, just like physical health, is necessary for students to meet their academic and life goals. In some cases, help is needed from trained professionals to support students’ mental well-being related to anxiety, stress, depression, loneliness, relationship difficulties, eating disorders and questions about identity. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides a safe and confidential environment for students to address their concerns.
