Human Resources debuts weekly #CUStayConnected newsletter

The Office of Human Resources is launching the inaugural edition of #CUStayConnected, a weekly newsletter dedicated to providing outreach and engagement resources for faculty and staff.

Inspired by the campaign #CUStayConnected created to bring Clemson students together, the newsletter aims to do the same for faculty and staff. Ashley Strickland, talent and organizational specialist for the Office of Human Resources, sought an opportunity to reach out to Clemson employees in a similar fashion.

I loved the idea of uniting as a community and thought, ‘Why not Clemson faculty and staff?’ After working alongside several of my colleagues, we’re excited to officially launch the #CUStayConnected newsletter,” Strickland said.

Strickland and the Office of Human Resources seek to encourage further engagement from faculty and staff. In a period of remote work from campus, Strickland notes how continued outreach and sharing of resources among faculty and staff are more important than ever.

“The newsletter provides faculty and staff an opportunity to connect during this difficult time. Whether it be an online training session or a live workout from Campus Recreation, our goal is providing resources with one another from Clemson and external resources,” Strickland said.

It has been challenging for many University employees to adjust to remote work. Strickland hopes the #CUStayConnected newsletter can provide a connection for faculty and staff to Clemson’s campus while promoting continued outreach and resources.

“Social distancing as a result of COVID-19 has highlighted our need for connection with others. I truly miss the opportunity to stop by a co-worker’s desk or chat passing through the hallway,” Strickland said.

“However, I know the spirit of the Clemson Family is unlike any other. We are resilient and truly care for each other. I think if we all do what we can to #CUStayConnected, even if it means just connecting for a few hours in an online training, we will get through this as one Clemson Family.”

#CuStayConnected will be launched on a weekly basis. Follow @OurClemson on Twitter and Instagram for news, updates and events regarding faculty and staff.
