Jennifer Goree, director of Healthy Campus, is leading a four-week workshop in September open to students, faculty and staff on Koru Mindfulness.

Developed at Duke University, Koru is an evidence-based program designed to teach mindfulness and meditation as a way to manage stress and reduce anxiety. The workshop will teach specific skills to help calm and focus individuals’ minds, including breathing exercises, guided imagery, body scan and more.

Classes will take place from 2-3:15 p.m. on September 6, 13, 20 and 27 over Zoom. Register to take part in the series.

Note: There is a one-time fee of $3.99 for the Koru app. The app is essential to the course, allowing participants to develop mindfulness practice and connect with the teacher.
