The Clemson Visual Arts (CVA) at Clemson University has seen an outstanding season of events this semester. The CVA calendar has unique and transformative experiences centering on academic learning, from artist talks to student exhibitions. Clemson visual art students and faculty are fully displayed in several galleries and showcase spaces.
The Lee Gallery started the Fall with the “Artist Teaching: Teaching Artists” exhibition featuring art faculty. The faculty artwork highlights recent research and showcases these working artists. The works are on display until Dec. 5.
The University community embraced the student ceramic work with a packed sale during the annual Ceramic Bowl Sale event. Special features were handmade holiday ornaments and other benefit artwork with purchases of 100% donation to Hurricane Helene Relief organizations serving artists in the Southeast.
The public may view Bachelor of Fine Arts student work in the Acorn Gallery. The BFA senior exhibits represent the completion of year-long research endeavors. Visual Arts students undergo a series of critiques aimed at nurturing the development of a body of work of their choosing. The public is invited to participate in this dialogue by attending the artist talks, followed by receptions with the artists. Join the CVA this fall to see the next generation of artists.
