Awards for teaching, research and student service and engagement were recently presented by Dean Wendy York to faculty and staff of the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business.
In acknowledging faculty and staff accomplishments for the 2020-21 academic year, Dean York called out recipients’ extraordinary contributions in the classroom and outstanding service in furthering the Clemson Experience to business education students.
“Faculty and staff who are being recognized have exhibited exemplary service to the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business in its development of the next generation of Clemson University-educated business leaders,” she said. “Our recipients have exhibited a passionate dedication to teaching, research and service that will have a lifelong impact on those whose lives they have touched.”
Among the award winners were Terry Knause, Accounting lecturer, recipient of the Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Award; Tom Zagenczyk, professor, Department of Management, recipient of the Senior Scholar Research Excellence Award and Helen Diamond Steele, director of the Office of Career and Global Engagement, recipient of the Dean’s Award for Student Engagement.

-Graduate Research Assistant Excellence Award – Majid Hashemi, Economics
-Graduate Teaching Excellence Award – Gabriela Sava, Management

-Service Excellence Award – Kristin Scott, Management
-Staff Award for Student Service – Charleen Fitzgerald, Marketing
-Team Player Award – Emily Danuser, Advising
-Dean’s Award for Interdisciplinary Collaboration – Research – Lori Tribble, Management
-Dean’s Award for Interdisciplinary Collaboration – Teaching/Service – Russ Purvis, Management
-MBA Professor of the Year – Travis Box, Finance
