Facility access, QR code check

Share:

As Clemson prepares for the Spring semester, we want to remind all students, faculty and staff that access to facilities is restricted. For those who are not required to be at a campus facility during the Spring semester, no further action is required. If facility access is needed later, a negative test must be completed within seven days before accessing facilities.

Your status must be “cleared” to access facilities. Clearance can be viewed on the University’s COVID-19 CLEARANCE STATUS TOOL.

Facility access will not be granted to those who have not provided proof of a University-approved negative test collected on or after Dec. 28 or a positive test administered Oct. 1 or later (Oct. 11 or later for Bridge to Clemson students) with a clearance letter from their health care provider. The list of approved tests can be found HERE.

If you were tested on campus on or since Dec. 28 and received a negative test result but your status has not been changed to “cleared,” please upload your test result to the University’s COVID-19 TEST RESULT UPLOAD TOOL. After uploading your results, please check your QR code. To ensure it is linked to your University account and that future tests clear you for access, please complete these steps.

Employees with additional questions about their status designation should work with their supervisor to ensure all information is accurate and up to date.

If you received a test at a non-campus location, results must be uploaded to the University’s COVID-19 TEST RESULT UPLOAD TOOL and need to include first and last name, date of birth, the test date, type, and test result. Once submitted, results will be reviewed and access reinstated within 48 hours.

To ensure your on-campus tests are applied to your clearance throughout the Spring semester, we are encouraging all students and employees to check their QR code to ensure it’s connected to their University account prior to the start of regular Spring testing. Your QR code should have numbers and only capital letters above the barcode – it should not have any lowercase letters. Follow THESE INSTRUCTIONS to check your QR code.
