Elliott Davis, a leading business solutions firm with nine offices across the Southeast and a longtime employer of College of Business interns and graduates, is further investing in Clemson University’s future by contributing $250,000 toward construction of the business school’s new building.

The contribution toward the 176,000-square-foot building currently under construction in the heart of campus, is in addition to the continuing support the Greenville-based company provides students and faculty.

“At Elliott Davis, we value the many partnerships we’ve established in the communities in which we live and work, and we’re particularly proud of our ongoing relationship with Clemson University,” said Rick Davis, CEO of the company and a former Senior Advisory Board Member of Clemson’s business school.

“The College of Business has been, and continues to be, a rich source of talent for our firm, so we feel a unique connection to this building project. Once complete, it will provide a unique environment in which to educate, enrich and inspire future leaders who can, in turn, go out and make their own positive impacts in business and society at large.”

Located in the heart of campus, the new home to business education at Clemson is symbolic of the central role the College of Business will play in the university’s future. The state-of-the-art building will rival and surpass facilities of some of the leading business programs nationwide.

The two-tower building will nearly double the space for business education. The five-story north tower atrium will be accessible from every floor and provide collaborative space designed to cultivate social and intellectual interaction. The south tower will feature the Phyfer Auditorium and a large conference room leading to an outdoor balcony with an expansive view of campus.

In addition to sponsorships and scholarships, Elliott Davis annually recruits business students from across the globe to its nationally recognized internship program.

ENVISION, Elliott Davis’ summer internship program, is ranked the No. 1 accounting internship in the U.S. by Vault, an influential source of ratings and insights for students and professionals. Vault also rated Elliott Davis the No. 3 overall internship, regardless of industry, in its annual 50 Best Internships ranking.

Wendy York, dean of the College of Business, said the generous contribution by Elliott Davis will be duly recognized in a highly visible, central location of the new building.

“Service to the community is one of the College’s core values and students will see no better example of that than Elliott Davis, which contributes far more than great career opportunities,” she said. “Elliott Davis is a model of corporate citizenship and shows what good business can bring to society.”
