Course Modality Policy modification; Summer and fall 2021

Share:

As the University emerges from the pandemic, it is adjusting its policy related to allowing students to modify their access to courses or be fully online for Summer and Fall 2021 semester courses. Students were advised of this policy change in an email dated April 8, 2021.

Students who wish to request a modification to attend online for a Summer or Fall 2021 semester course being offered as either a traditional in-person or hybrid/blended course must register with Student Accessibility Services and will be required to provide medical documentation supporting their request.

Requests should be limited to those students who think they have a medical or disability-related need to participate in an on-site course remotely.

Documentation should be from a qualified medical professional and indicate why the student cannot safely participate in the course on-site.

A committee will review and process these requests on a case-by-case basis, and instructors may be directly consulted.

All requests for summer courses should be submitted by April 30, 2021.

All requests from continuing students for fall courses should be submitted by June 1, 2021.

All requests from new students for fall courses should be submitted by July 30, 2021.
