Counseling and Psychological Services offering faculty and staff summer workshop series

Looking for ways to improve interactions with students and co-workers or to improve overall confidence in yourself and various life skills? Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is offering a valuable opportunity to accomplish that and more this summer for Clemson University faculty and staff.

CAPS is offering a nine-week, four-module personal and professional development workshop series. During the workshop, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to develop new skills while seeking self-improvement in their personal and professional lives.

Each weekly workshop lasts two hours long and will incorporate evidence-based concepts from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). The workshop series is being offered at no cost to participants. However, it is required to purchase the book DBT Skills Training Handouts and Worksheets, Second Edition by Marsha M. Linehan. The book has all the handouts necessary for the workshop.

The workshops will be taking place virtually via Zoom, and participants will be able to choose from one of two options:

  • Wednesdays 3-5 p.m., beginning on June 10 through August 5
  • Fridays, 10 a.m.-noon, beginning June 12 through August 7

It is recommended that you participate in all of the sessions. The deadline to sign-up for the CAPS workshop series is June 9. Space is limited. To sign up for the workshop series, email Nick White at dempsew@clemson.edu.
