Business of Innovation Pawdcast from Clemson MBA Program
Series Launch: Nov. 18, 2019. New episodes every other Tuesday on YouTube and all major podcast platforms.

GREENVILLE — Thanks to a generous gift from the Phyfer Family, Clemson University’s MBA program, already a leader in educating and training top-notch business professionals, is expanding its mission of engagement by offering enlightening conversations with some of the most forward-thinking innovators in the worlds of both business and education as part of its new Business of Innovation Pawdcast.

The podcast, hosted by Clemson MBA’s Director of Corporate Relations & Executive Leadership Gail DePriest, has released 10 episodes on a limited basis to date, featuring in-depth interviews with innovators in leading local and global organizations, including Leslie Schall, the human resources director of Michelin North America; Clemson MBA alumnus Richard Morris, a director of manufacturing at a major aerospace company in Southern California; Dr. Meredith Rosenthal, director of Harvard’s Advanced Leadership Initiative; and more.

Clemson MBA is launching a wider-reaching “grand opening” for the podcast Nov. 18 that will include a YouTube channel featuring all of the episodes, which will be released every other Tuesday.

“The Business of Innovation Pawdcast connects listeners with leading entrepreneurs and innovators who share their stories of bridging the gap between creative ideas and gaining business results,” said host DePriest. “Every episode introduces you to leaders, entrepreneurs and educators who offer real-world advice as you think about moving forward with your dreams and goals.”

The Business of Innovation Podcast is an offshoot of the Phyfer Innovation Hub, located in the Clemson MBA space at Greenville ONE. The Innovation Hub provides MBA students, faculty and the Upstate community a place to meet and share innovative thoughts and practices. In addition to the Pawdcast, the Hub is home to another podcast called inONE, a twice-monthly series sharing an inside look at Greenville ONE featuring Clemson MBA students, alumni and faculty alongside entrepreneurs and innovators in the greater Greenville area.

The Hub was made possible by a $2.5 million gift from business leaders Ben and Cheri Phyfer, which was given to support the College of Business and student scholarships. By virtue of this donation, the Phyfers became the youngest-ever Cornerstone Partners for Academics at Clemson University.

The Phyfers’ gift provided $2 million for the Phyfer Auditorium, making this the largest gift to date for the new College of Business building; $380,000 for the Phyfer Innovation Hub at Greenville ONE and $120,000 for university-wide student scholarships.
