Clemson launches Power of the Paw survey to measure student experiences

CLEMSON — University officials launched a new survey tool on Tuesday, Sept. 26 to all actively enrolled undergraduate and graduate students in support of the Clemson Elevate strategic plan and the pillar of delivering the No. 1 student experience.

“Power of the Paw is a pulse style survey designed to measure different aspects of the student experience,” says Josh Barnes, student services excellence lead for the Office of Institutional Excellence. “We’ve had a great response rate over the first 24 hours, so it’s exciting to see our students want to share their experiences and provide real-time input into our strategic plan.”

The survey is open through 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, Oct. 9 and includes questions on awareness of University values, well-being, sense of belonging and making meaningful connections to Clemson. A spring iteration of the survey is scheduled to be deployed in mid-February and aims to capture different data, again mapping to the pillar of delivering the No. 1 student experience.

Students are incentivized to participate in the survey. By completing the form, those eligible can win a variety of prizes including free parking, bike share memberships, Clemson memorabilia, iPads and more. The full list of incentives—as well as terms and conditions—are available here.
