The Clemson University Edisto Research and Education Center (REC) will host the 2026 Edisto REC Forages Field Day from 7:30 a.m.to 2 p.m. on April 1 at 64 Research St., Blackville, S.C. 29817.

Cost is $25. Register at https://bit.ly/CU-2026ForagesFieldDay. Program begins at 8 a.m.

This year’s program will cover a wide range of forage and livestock management topics, including:

  • Beef cattle nutrition strategies and management to enhance profit, Nicolas DiLorenzo, University of Florida
  • Bermudagrass stem maggot research updates and management, Lisa Baxter, University of Georgia
  • Trade show, research and Clemson Cooperative Extension Service poster presentations.
  • A field tour will be held featuring:
    • Cool-season forage variety updates, Liliane Silva, Clemson Extension forage-livestock systems specialist
    • Updates on ongoing research trials and management strategies
    • Weed control strategies and updates, Michael Marshall, Clemson weed specialist

Shealy’s BBQ will cater lunch.
