Building a Legacy- June 2025 Construction Update

Share:

Neither heat nor rain are slowing down the excitement and momentum as the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine continues to take shape. Here’s a quick summary of construction on each of our buildings.

PCVM HUB

The PCVM HUB is making great strides. The steel structure is complete, and work on miscellaneous steelwork will wrap up by the end of July. Crews will soon begin exterior framing and waterproofing, while roofing is on track to be finished by the end of June. Inside, framing is progressing across all three floors with overhead mechanical, electrical and plumbing work advancing on the first and second floors.

Clinical Teaching

The CT building is rising steadily with steelwork set to be finished near the end of next month. The first concrete slab is already in place on the elevated deck at the south end. Wall framing on the second level will begin within days on the south side, marking another exciting milestone.

Research

Progress continues at the Research Building where steelwork is underway and will continue through the end of next month. Each phase builds the foundation for future innovation and discovery for Clemson University.

Ambulatory

Momentum continues at the Ambulatory building where the slab pour is complete. Steelwork will follow in the coming days bringing the structure to life, one beam at a time.

Equine

The Equine Teaching building is preparing for its next phase with footing work set to begin in the coming days. This is a key step in creating a top-tier space for equine teaching for the next generation of veterinarians.

Farm Animal

At the Farm Animal building, utility relocation will begin in the next few weeks.

The CUP

The CUP, our utility building, continues to take shape. Brickwork and interior framing are well underway.
