The Clemson University Pre-Hospital Education program, managed by the Clemson University Fire & EMS Department (CUFD), is accepting applications for its Fall 2025 Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training course.

The program is in its second year, after hosting its inaugural class during the 2024-25 academic year. It allows Clemson University students to earn their EMT certification while in school, giving them the skills needed to provide medical support and transport to injured or critically ill patients.

The program will feature a hybrid format that includes online modules, in-person classroom instruction and skills labs, in addition to clinical experiences. Each student will be required to ride on an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance or Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) and have a minimum of 10 patient contacts, which typically takes around 36 hours to complete.

To apply, students should fill out the application form. Applications must be submitted by Monday, July 28, 2025, at 8 a.m. EDT. Spots are limited, and the application process will be competitive.

More information, including key dates, cost and more, can be found on the application form or on the Pre-Hospital Education program page on the CUFD website.
