Applications are now open for the 2025 class of CU Grow, Clemson’s premier staff development program!
CU Grow is a year-long professional development program for Clemson University staff, designed to provide the framework for both personal and professional growth.
More than one hundred full-time staff members have graduated from the program since its creation in 2020.
Participants engage in workshops and training, skills development, experiential learning and volunteer service throughout the yearlong experience.
“The CU Grow program provided me with amazing opportunities to learn more about different parts of the University, meet University colleagues who have become valuable partners in my work and grow both personally and professionally,” said Candice Heatherly, member of the 2023 cohort. “As a result, I am more confident in myself, my abilities and my ideas, and I feel more connected to the University as a whole.”
To be eligible for the program, staff members must:
- Be full-time employees who have been at Clemson for at least three years
- Have performance evaluation ratings of “Successful” or higher
- Have supervisor approval and support
The deadline to submit applications has been extended to October 15. To apply, staff members must complete the staff application form. Once complete, the employee’s supervisor must document their support of participation using the supervisor support form.
The CU Grow team will host six interest sessions throughout July, August and September for staff members who are interested in learning more about the program and its requirements. For additional questions, contact the CU Grow team.
