The Women’s Roundtable is in search of applicants for the third cohort of the administrative leadership development series. The program is designed to create pathways for women from historically marginalized populations to executive or senior-level positions in higher education and is open to interested faculty and staff.

“From the first meeting to the planning of our final project, my experience in this dynamic leadership development series was captivating, collaborative and cultivating,” says Sharetta Bufford, director of recruitment and retention for the College of Science. “It was such a beautiful opportunity to connect with, learn from and develop alongside peers from various areas of Clemson. It was equally meaningful to witness my own personal and professional growth as a direct result of my experience in the cohort.”

The 2024-25 administrative leadership development series begins Nov. 18 with a required full-day retreat. It includes six lunch and learn sessions, community-building activities, executive coaching opportunities and a formal presentation opportunity at the 2025 Women’s Roundtable event.

Applications are open to full-time employees who serve in assistant director level (and above) staff and tenure-track (and above) faculty. Applications are being accepted through 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.

“My experience with our cohort introduced me to a group of passionate and talented women at Clemson,” says Jessica Garcia, assistant director of student services in the College of Architecture, Art and Construction. “The opportunity to participate in this leadership program has both allowed me to grow as a leader and know that I have a support system within my profession.”

The series is co-facilitated by Shamella Cromartie, associate dean of organizational performance and administration for Clemson Libraries, and Caren Kelley-Hall, senior associate director of the UPIC program in the Center for Career and Professional Development.
