Dear Students,

As another academic year moves closer to finishing, I want to take a moment to celebrate all that you have accomplished and encourage you in the days ahead.

On Sunday, I had the privilege of attending all three sessions of the Ring Ceremony. Shaking hands with students as they reached such a meaningful milestone put a smile on my face and filled me with pride for my alma mater. It has truly become one of my favorite Clemson traditions, and as someone who did not have the opportunity to experience it as an undergraduate, it makes seeing the joy of today’s students in that moment even more special.

That same spirit has carried throughout Senior Week. It has been wonderful to see the excitement, reflection and celebration as our soon-to-be graduates mark their final days on campus. Commencement is just a couple of weeks away, and I share in the joy and anticipation of all that is ahead for our graduating seniors.

Of course, academics are why you are here, and there is something energizing about reaching the finish line of the always-busy Spring term. As you prepare for final exams, I encourage you to find the resolve to finish strong while taking care for yourself along the way. Make time to rest, take a deep breath and prioritize your well-being.

Throughout this issue of Your Clemson, you will find resources to support you in these final days, including study space availability throughout main campus as well as opportunities to recharge at events such as Friday evening’s U-NITES! program at the Barnes Center.

You have worked hard to get here. Keep going, take care of yourselves and know that the Clemson community is cheering you on every step of the way.

Go Tigers!

Sincerely,

Kimberly Poole, Ph.D.
Associate Vice President and Dean of Students
