Clemson University will provide a general salary increase to eligible faculty and staff, following the South Carolina General Assembly’s adoption of the state Fiscal Year 2026-27 General Appropriation Act.
General Increase Details
Eligible faculty and staff members will receive a salary increase of two percent, calculated as a percentage of base salary.
For eligible 12-month employees, the increase is effective June 16, 2026.

For eligible 9-month employees, the increase is effective August 15, 2026, and will appear in the August 31, 2026, paycheck.

Additional Details
Per state regulations, when general increases and other salary increases (e.g. the annual tenure and promotion process) are awarded on the same effective date, the general increase will be applied prior to any other salary increases.
While general increases impact base salaries, they may also cause changes to some increasable supplements. Review the General Increase webpage for additional details about these potential impacts.
