7 Graphic Communications students receive scholarships from DuPont

Seven students in the Department of Graphic Communications are recipients of a scholarship from DuPont CyrelR Image Solutions division to help support their development for careers in the Printing and Packaging Industry.

The DuPont Scholarship in Graphic Communications amounts to $4,000 per year over a five-year period for a total pledge of $20,000.

“DuPont is proud to announce the next step in our partnership with Clemson University with the creation of a new scholarship to support the development of future leaders in the Printing and Packaging Industry,” said Kelly Reichert, DuPont Image Solutions, Americas business director.

Chip Tonkin, Department of Graphic Communications chair and director of the Sonoco Institute of Packaging Design & Graphics, said industry support has always been critical to the success of Clemson’s highly respected graphic communications program.

“Companies like DuPont recognize the importance of talent development and recruitment in their success. Their support of our students is recognition of our program’s history of producing industry-ready employees. We appreciate DuPont’s support and are eager to grow this kind of industry backing.”

Parkinson, senior, Atlanta, Ga.; Kara A. Queensberry, freshman, Catonsville, Md.; and Ciara N. Ruffalo, senior, Rock Hill, S.C.
