The University will officially transition from Tiger Training to Workday Learning as our University’s learning management system at the end of September.

The launch of Workday Learning is paired with the launch of the University’s Annual Required Training program on September 29, which will be the first two courses faculty and staff complete in the new system.

What is Workday Learning?

Workday Learning is a learning management system, designed to facilitate training for faculty, staff and student workers across the University.

Built directly into Workday, the system allows faculty, staff and student workers to enroll in optional courses, as well as complete required training courses.

Workday Learning will replace Tiger Training as the University’s main learning management system for faculty, staff and student workers.

Timeline for transition of training materials

The two annual required training program courses will be available in Workday Learning on September 29.

All training enrollments in Tiger Training will stop on September 30.

All other trainings that are required for University, state or federal compliance will be available in Workday Learning on October 1.

Additional training courses will be added to the system throughout the fall.

Workday training materials

Currently, self-paced courses to support those learning to use Workday are housed in Tiger Training.

All Workday-related courses in Tiger Training will be transitioned to Workday Learning by October 1.

What to do about outstanding training in Tiger Training

Faculty or staff with outstanding training due in Tiger Training should complete those courses as soon as possible.

All individuals required to take a required University training course will be re-enrolled in those courses later this year. These individuals will be notified ahead of enrollment.

Re-enrollment of other non-required training courses is at the discretion of the owners of those courses.

Training resources for Workday Learning

Several training guides will be made available and added to this article closer to the Workday Learning launch.

The Workday team will also host in-person and virtual training sessions targeted to those who must create training in the Workday Learning system. Individuals who were previously authors in Tiger Training will receive a direct email with information about registering for those sessions.

Exporting a learning transcript

If faculty, staff or student workers wish to download a record of their enrolled and completed trainings from Tiger Training, they may do so by selecting the “Export Transcript” button on the right side of the Tiger Training home screen.
