October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and a dozen volunteers are needed to assist with the Oct. 5 kick-off event at Cooper Library.
Volunteers communicate to students that they are an ally and a safe place for them if they ever needed support and/or resources, and while the volunteer is not required to be an expert in the subject, experts will be on hand to assist.
How to Volunteer for Oct. 5:
- Two volunteers are needed for each 30-minute slot between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- Volunteers manage the station, interact with visitors at the table, and guide them to paint their ring fingernails.
- An email with additional information will be sent to all volunteers leading up to the event.
- Volunteer HERE.
- Contact Bat’sé Smart (bekanem@clemson.edu) or Lauren Parker (lmatran@clemson.edu) should you have questions.
