After more than 18 months with very limited student travel, the Pam Hendrix Center for Education Abroad (PHCEA) has announced students’ spring and summer 2022 study abroad offerings.

The pandemic changed the landscape of travel, which for the most part was suspended since March 2020.

While travel was on hold, the PHCEA, colleges and departments worked closely with Clemson’s partners and hosts worldwide to put in place additional protocols, procedures and services to address the new challenges of travel. With these new features, architecture students were able to travel this fall to Clemson sites in Barcelona and Genoa. The trips were shorter but still impactful.

For Spring 2022, the architecture students will be joining Spanish language students heading to Argentina and political science students studying in Serbia.

Students interested in studying abroad in Summer 2022 have the choice of approximately 25 faculty-led programs worldwide and at least as many options to enroll in partner or third-party programs.

While fewer options remain than before the pandemic, the reduced number of locations is unlikely to limit the number of students participating. Students interested in exploring their options can start on the Pam Hendrix Center for Education Abroad website.
