Miles Maynard, a second-year master’s student in athletic leadership, is president of graduate student government.

Miles Maynard knew he was destined to be a Tiger … it just took him a little longer to fulfill the dream. After playing two years of soccer at USC Aiken, he earned acceptance into Clemson for the 2016 spring semester. Two years later, he earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology before opting to enroll in graduate school. In the process, he discovered two passion areas: athletics and student government. An athletic leadership master’s student, he volunteered as a coach with the women’s soccer team in 2018 and is serving in the same capacity again in 2019. In the spring, he was also elected as president of Graduate Student Government (GSG).

In the podcast, he discusses his path to Clemson, family ties that drew him to the Upstate institution, campus involvement and what he hopes to accomplish during his term as GSG president.
