Editor’s note: This is a special installment of the “Student Affairs Talk” podcast, where Communications Director for Student Affairs Philip Sikes visits with various leaders from Clemson’s staff and student communities. This week’s featured guest is Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs, Libby Kehn.

Libby Kehn, pictured alongside her first mentor, Tim Bourret, now serves as executive assistant in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs.

Libby Kehn grew up just 10 miles from the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan. But when it came time to choosing a destination following high school, her eyes were set on a different “football school” — and warmer climate. Following a visit to Clemson University with her father, she knew where she wanted to attend college. Twenty-two years later, Kehn is still on staff at her alma mater.

Kehn transitioned successfully from an associate sports information director to executive assistant with the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs about a year and a half ago. In this week’s podcast, she details what it was like leaving behind a career in athletics for the other side of campus. She also reminisced on memories from her time working under legends such as Tim Bourret and Almeda Jacks, and now day-to-day responsibilities working with Interim Vice President and Dean of Students Chris Miller.
