Richard, a junior elementary education major from Ooltewah, Tennessee.

A.J. Richard grew up a Clemson fan. His father, Al, was a defensive lineman who earned four letters on the Tiger football team from 1989-92. Both of his parents own Clemson University degrees. He spent his formative years in Graniteville, a small town located in Aiken County, South Carolina. He finished high school in Ooltewah, Tennessee before making the decision to follow in his family’s footsteps.
In this week’s podcast, Richard speaks extensively about his many experiences across Clemson’s campus. He currently serves as president of the student executive board for Call Me MISTER, a program designed to train the next cohort of male educators among underrepresented populations. He served a two-year term as an Orientation Ambassador, earning Ambassador of the Year acclaim from his teammates. Richard addressed those topics and much more in this week’s podcast.
