While most Workday functions went live on July 1, the staff performance management module will launch on September 1.

Most FTE staff members will begin to use Workday for performance management (starting with the planning stage) beginning September 1. Some staff members in their probation year will transition to Workday following the completion of their evaluation in OnBase-Performance.

Successful completion of the planning stage in Workday ensures goals accurately pull forward into the evaluation stage.

Employees with annual evaluations due between December 1, 2026, and August 31, 2027

Employees in this group will receive a task in their Workday inbox on September 1 to complete their planning stage.

Any planning stage information in OnBase-Performance prior to August 17 was moved to Workday. Staff may then choose to select the information to populate their planning stage.

The planning stage includes instructions on how to move OnBase goals into the correct location in Workday. Guides are also available below and in the Workday Training Library.

All planning stages in Workday will lock on October 16 to advance this group of employees into the performing and monitoring phase.

If employees must make changes to their planning stages after October 15, they will do so in the goals section of Workday. Instructions to support this will be available by October 15 in the Workday Training Library.

Employees with probation year evaluations due between September 1, 2026, and November 30, 2026

Employees in this group will finish their current evaluations in OnBase-Performance. Once they complete their evaluation in OnBase, they will receive a task in their Workday inbox to complete their planning stage.

Employees will receive direct communications with instructions on how to complete these actions.

Staff and their managers may submit questions regarding performance management through ServiceNow
