Clemson University provides a comprehensive State benefits package and a variety of additional benefits to eligible employees. Each October, during the open enrollment period, employees can make changes to several of their benefits.
To help you better prepare for open enrollment, the Office of Human Resources has updated Your Employee Benefits Package webpage. This personalized resource page highlights all the benefits you are eligible to receive and provides an overview and resource links for each. Your page also includes a Benefits Overview Course that offers an overview of all benefits and has an option to ‘pick and choose’ specific benefits.

Updating your emergency contact and beneficiary information as changes occur throughout the year is important. Follow the instructions provided below to ensure your information is up to date.

Review and update your beneficiaries by logging into your PEBA member accounts.
- Access PEBA MyBenefits to update your Basic Life or Optional Life insurance beneficiaries, if enrolled.
- Access PEBA Member Access to update your beneficiaries for SCRS, or the Incidental Death Benefit, if enrolled.
- If you participate in the State Optional Retirement Plan, you will need to update your beneficiary information with the ORP Vendor you selected.
- Check your pay stub to confirm your insurance and retirement benefit selections.
