Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 23, Clemson students enrolled at the University’s main campus may be selected for mandatory COVID-19 surveillance testing. Ongoing surveillance testing is a key part of the University’s strategy to mitigate the spread of the virus on campus and in the community.
A random sampling of 1,500 students will be notified by email each weekday morning if selected for mandatory testing the following day. If notified, students will need to sign up for a free test conducted by Rymedi. Failure to comply with the University’s health and safety directives may constitute a violation of the Student Code of Conduct and may result in sanctions, which could include probation, suspension or expulsion. Access to University facilities — including classrooms, recreation centers, athletics venues, etc — may be revoked.
Specific details including hours of operation, location and other instructions will be included in the notification email sent to clemson.edu accounts.
