Liv Keaton joins the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine as the receptionist and administrative assistant. Keaton will be the first person that visitors, students, faculty and staff see when they walk through the college’s doors. Keaton is helping to create a welcoming environment, bringing warmth and a passion for helping people as the team prepares to educate South Carolina’s next generation of veterinarians.
Keaton earned a bachelor’s degree in history and public policy from Southern Wesleyan University before gaining experience in a variety of customer-facing roles. Most recently, she spent the latter half of 2025 as a PhotoPass photographer at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, where she honed her ability to engage with guests from all walks of life. Combined with her background in theatre, those experiences prepared her for a role centered on communication and service. What ultimately drew Keaton to Clemson was the people.
“Everyone on the team is so kind and welcoming,” she said. “It feels good being a part of such a great group of people who are passionate about this college’s mission to help fulfill the need for veterinarians here in South Carolina.”
As the college continues to grow, Keaton looks forward to building relationships with the people who make up the Clemson community.
“I am looking forward to getting to meet everyone and getting to know them over the course of their time at the PCVM,” said Keaton. “I hope that I can help foster a welcoming environment that makes everyone feel like they are valued and loved here at the college,” she added.
Outside of work, Keaton enjoys both performing on stage and working behind the scenes in theatre. She also expresses her creativity through art and spends time with her 7-year-old yellow cat, Sonny.
“He’s super sweet and cuddly,” she said. “What he lacks in brains, he makes up for in cuteness and personality.”
Whether she’s welcoming a prospective student, assisting a visitor or helping colleagues throughout the day, Keaton is excited to play a role in building a college where every person feels at home.
