As students prepare for the opening of the 2025 Fall semester, Parking and Transportation Services (PATS) is offering several important updates to help with the navigation of available parking and bus routes. As a reminder, students must have a valid permit to park on main campus. Visit the PATS website for the latest information or to purchase a permit.
Tigers Commute
• Students are encouraged to download the Tigers Commute app, a one-stop shop for all parking, transit and ride sharing information.
• Over 10,000 parking sensors have been installed on main campus — and with the latest Tigers Commute upgrade — students can view real-time availability of commuter, park-n-ride, metered, EV charging and ADA accessible parking spaces. Watch the video tutorial to learn more about the app.
Parking Updates
• Many commuter and employee parking spaces have been displaced at the corner of Perimeter and Williamson roads due to construction of the new parking deck.
- Student commuters are encouraged to use designated on-street spaces and lots, including C-1, C-1 Ext., C-3, C-4, C-11 and C-14.
- Park-n-ride options are available to commuter students by permit at minimal cost in the P-5, P-6, P-7 and P-8 lots. Lots are open Monday-Thursday until 4:30 p.m. Park-n-ride permits are valid on campus in accordance with regular permit rules after 4:30 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. on weekdays and from 4:30 p.m.-7 a.m. Thursday-Monday.
- Visit the campus map to see all commuter options (denoted in orange).
Transit Updates
• The Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center, home to several departments — including Admissions, Advancement and the Center for Career and Professional Development — opened during the summer next to the Madren Center. To access the new facility, students should utilize the green route Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Service is provided every 25 minutes throughout the main campus footprint.
• Red and gold routes for CATbus are running extended 15-minute service through 6:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
