Clemson University is celebrating its fourth annual Leadership Week from Saturday, Feb. 22 through Saturday, March 1 on main campus. The events are coordinated by the Center for Student Leadership and Engagement (CSLE) and relate to the theme of “Leadership Recharged.”
“The value of good leadership often goes unappreciated until it’s too late,” says Chris Spellman, CSLE’s assistant director of leadership education and development. “With an overwhelming weight of responsibility juggled by student leaders, this year’s events are designed to recharge students and their leadership capacity!”
Leadership Week infuses CSLE’s six practices of leadership excellence into its programming: communication, strategic planning, building community, personal growth, collaboration and sustaining legacy.
Kya Kernodle is a leadership consultant in CSLE and serves as chair of Leadership Week 2025.
“This year’s theme places an emphasis on how to slow down and take care of oneself in the fast-paced environment of college life,” Kernodle says. “My team and the Center as a whole have worked incredibly hard to ensure that every student, no matter their involvement or experience, will gain valuable skills and knowledge from Leadership Week.”
The full schedule of events is on the CSLE website. Some of this year’s highlights include:
