Share:

Clemson Home will welcome a high volume of students and summer camp participants the week of June 23-27, including Summer II Move-In on Wednesday, June 25 and NewSpring Gauntlet, our largest summer camp of the season, throughout the week. This busy week will bring increased campus activity, traffic delays, and changes to parking availability.

Summer Move-In: Wednesday, June 25

Incoming Summer Start residents and other Summer II students will move in midweek this year, a change from past weekend move-ins. This timing will create more noticeable impacts across campus during the regular workweek.

Move-In Details and Traffic Flow

  • All check-ins will take place in P-5 and P-5 Extension, accessible via Highway 76 at Perimeter Road.
  • Expected route impacts include Perimeter Rd., Walter T. Cox Blvd., Newman Rd., Sherman St., McMillan Rd., and Cherry Rd.
  • Temporary sidewalk and pedestrian path access will be used for unloading.
  • ADA parking will remain available.

High-Impact Areas to Avoid

  • P-5, Calhoun Courts, Bryan Mall and Douthit Hills will be primary move-in locations.
  • C-1 will be designated for family parking.
  • Portions of E-37 and E-27 will support unloading at Douthit Hills.
  • E-24 will be closed to employees for Calhoun Courts unloading.
  • Bryan Mall parking will not be available.
  • Cherry Road will experience increased traffic and sidewalk re-entry from the E-24 area.

If you are able, please avoid these areas and plan alternate routes during peak move-in hours.

NewSpring Gauntlet Camp: June 23–27

Clemson Home Summer Programs will host the NewSpring Gauntlet camp beginning Monday, bringing approximately 3,000 people to campus for the week. Participants will be housed in various residence halls and engaged in scheduled activities across campus. Both Schilletter Dining Hall and The Dish at McAlister will be utilized by this group for meals; however, The Dish will remain the only dining location open to the general public during this time.

Thank you for your flexibility and awareness during this active summer week. Please plan accordingly and help provide a smooth experience for our newest Tigers and summer guests.
