The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) presented 2024-25 awards to outstanding student leaders and organizational chapters on April 17 at the Clyde V. Madren Center.
“We continue to be incredibly proud of our students,” says Trish Robinson, interim director of Fraternity and Sorority Life. “It is important to recognize the great work being done by so many chapters and individuals on our campus who strengthen the collective Fraternity and Sorority Life community at Clemson.”
Last fall, FSL surpassed 6,800 active undergraduate members — an all-time high. Students affiliated with fraternities and sororities continue to excel academically, recording a cumulative 3.504 GPA, higher than the institutional average. Eighty-six percent or organizations exceeded a 3.0. Also in the fall, fraternities and sororities raised more than $568,000 toward philanthropic initiatives and conducted 40,000 hours of community service.
Chapters of the Year were identified from each respective governing council. Three of the four earned repeat wins from 2023 and 2024: Beta Upsilon Chi (Interfraternity Council – IFC), Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. (Multicultural Greek Council – MGC), and Kappa Delta (College Panhellenic Association – CPA). The fourth organization recognized was Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., who won the Altheia L. Richardson Cup among National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) chapters.
FSL also awarded its 2025 Pillars of the Community, honoring a group of four individuals for substantial impact in the more than 50 years of national affiliation of fraternities and sororities at Clemson. The class includes current Board of Trustees Vice Chair Nicky McCarter.
