Faith Diemer (Pictured Right), Student Services Coordinator for the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine, has received the 2026 Outstanding Professional Award. Presented by Chi Sigma Alpha, this award honors a faculty or staff member who exemplifies the organization’s pillars of academics, research, and service.
Diemer was nominated by a former colleague and Master of Education in Student Affairs graduate student, Celeste Kapalin, who is in Chi Sigma Alpha.
In her nomination, Kapalin wrote: “Faith did amazing work in the College of Business Academic Advising Center! Prior to this year, she served as the academic advisor for all CUBS (Community for Undergraduate Business Students). As the coordinator for CUBS, she also mentored CUBS students and the CUBS leaders. She planned monthly meetings, workshops, and social events, and coordinated with other departments, including Clemson Home and our college’s recruiters. She went above and beyond to support students, which you could tell by the number of students who stopped by her office. She is going to do great work at the vet school, and I have no doubt she will help the college thrive as it grows and develops over the next couple of years.”
Chi Sigma Alpha is an honorary society for student affairs graduate students and practitioners, but any Clemson employee can be nominated for the 2026 Outstanding Professional Award.
“Receiving this award came as such a surprise,” said Deimer. “Having it presented by someone I had the privilege of working alongside, and who I can call a friend, made the moment truly special!”
Diemer joined Clemson University in 2019, previously serving as an academic advisor and living-learning community coordinator for first-year undergraduate business students. She leverages her extensive experience in student transitions to help the PCVM’s inaugural class build strong connections, navigate professional expectations, and thrive throughout their veterinary education. As a student-centered resource now at the PCVM, Diemer aims to promote holistic well-being and cultivate a supportive, inclusive environment for DVM students from orientation through graduation.
