In The Princeton Review’s latest annual rankings, Clemson University was again named a Best Value College in addition to earning top 15 national rankings among public schools for best alumni networks and schools for internships.
“Clemson’s recognition as a Top Value College by The Princeton Review reaffirms our commitment to delivering the No. 1 student experience in the nation,” said Doug Hallenbeck, vice president of student affairs. “Our high-impact internship and experiential learning programs not only open doors for students while they’re here but also aid in building a lifelong connection to Clemson. These accolades reflect the value of a Clemson education and the power of the Clemson Family.”
Clemson remains committed to affordability and a strong return on investment for students and their families. The University’s Board of Trustees recently approved a recommendation, via significant support from the South Carolina General Assembly, to freeze in-state tuition for the sixth consecutive year. Ninety nine percent of first-time, in-state students receive state scholarships, while 76 percent of all undergraduate students receive financial assistance, including state, federal and University awards. A majority of Clemson’s graduates (56 percent) have no debt compared to the state (40 percent) and national (39 percent) averages.
In addition, Clemson’s total cost of attendance for out-of-state students remains below the average of top 25 public institutions.
Clemson also earned a No. 6 ranking for best alumni network among public schools. The Clemson Alumni Association is an open-membership, nonprofit organization that exists to connect alumni to each other and their alma mater. Through a variety of programs and services, the Clemson Alumni Association enhances the lifelong Clemson Experience by connecting alumni to each other through the nationwide Clemson Club and Affinity Group networks.
The organization also offers access to Alumni Career Services and recognizes outstanding alumni who have had an impact in their community, in their profession and on their alma mater. The Clemson Alumni Association also offers unique Clemson experiences for alumni to enjoy through various events and programming throughout the year on campus and throughout the country. These efforts not only strengthen the bond between alumni and the University but also foster a vibrant, engaged and supportive Clemson Family that spans generations and geographies.
“We are excited to be recognized once again as being one of the top alumni networks in the country,” said Wil Brasington, CEO of the Clemson Alumni Association. “We are grateful for the inspiring community of Tigers who continue to lead, engage and give back.”
The Princeton Review also lauded Clemson as No. 11 among public schools for the best schools for internships. Led by Neil Burton, the award-winning Center for Career and Professional Development supports students with career counseling and assessments, resume and cover letter reviews, information workshops and job search assistance. In 2024, 72 percent of graduates who completed a bachelor’s degree completed participation in one experiential education opportunity (co-op, internship, student teaching, nursing practicum, etc.), while 58 percent completed two or more. In addition, 85 percent of recent graduates feel prepared to interview for jobs and further educational opportunities.
Both the Alumni Association and the Center for Career and Professional Development are housed in the new Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center, which opened its doors in April 2025.
