Clemson to host Leadership Week, culminating in the Women in Leadership Conference on Saturday, March 2

The Center for Student Leadership & Engagement is hosting Leadership Week on Clemson University’s main campus February 24 through March 2. A week of robust programming begins with a day of service and culminates with the annual Women in Leadership Conference in Hendrix Student Center. Leadership Week embeds the center’s six practices of excellence in the hopes of building and preparing confident student leaders.

Students interested in participating in the day of service should register through the link below. Volunteers will be assigned different community sites the morning of the 24th. Breakfast and transportation to and from the community sites will be provided. The day of service begins at 8:30 a.m. in the ballrooms of Hendrix Student Center.

DAY OF SERVICE REGISTRATION

Your time, your terms. That’s the theme of this year’s Women in Leadership Conference, scheduled for 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. in Hendrix Student Center on March 2. The event will feature a pair of keynotes from Coca-Cola Company executive Lisa Chang and reigning Miss South Carolina Jada Samuel.

Chang is scheduled for the opening keynote. She serves as executive vice president and global chief people officer at Coca-Cola. Her daughter, Cleo ’19, graduated from Clemson, and her son, Nathan, is a current senior. Chang has supported Clemson University and Student Affairs through multiple volunteer and ambassador roles.

Samuel is scheduled for the lunch keynote. She graduated from the University of South Carolina and is currently pursuing an MBA. A native of nearby Greenville, Samuel recently represented South Carolina in Miss America 2024.
