City of Clemson to host “On the Ave” summer series in May and June

The City of Clemson is hosting “On the Ave” again in the summer of 2023. Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to come out to College Avenue in downtown Clemson every other Tuesday in May and June from 5-9 p.m. for outdoor dining and live music.

“This series offers a great opportunity to come together as a community,” says Mayor Robert Halfacre. “It gives the University a chance to engage with our residents in a true town and gown event.”

City officials and public safety partners work together to block off College Avenue at the traffic light at Highway 93 (adjacent to Bowman Field) and set up tables throughout the restaurant district. Halfacre says Tuesdays are chosen strategically in order to not conflict with similar entertainment series on Thursdays in nearby Seneca.

The live music lineup for the summer series will be announced in the coming weeks.
