Celebrate the grand opening of the Tiger Tech Shop

On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Clemson University campus community members are invited to the newly opened Tiger Tech Shop ribbon-cutting ceremony. This grand opening event will include remarks from CCIT leaders, music, refreshments, and raffle prizes/swag giveaways.

This new store, formerly the Clemson Computer Store, is located at 110 Hendrix Student Center and is a certified retailer for all Apple, Dell, and Lenovo products. In addition to laptop purchasing and hardware repair, campus members can purchase other tech accessories and Apple products, and employees can buy items through the employee tech purchasing plan.

“We are thrilled to open this store and continue elevating the experiences of students, faculty and staff at Clemson,” said Nathan Long, associate vice president of IT customer services. “This space reflects our continued commitment to serve the campus and offer the latest technology and purchases that support the University overall.”

The Tiger Tech Shop logo is backlit hanging on a wall surrounded by Apple home pod products, Skull Candy accessories, and a small stuffed tiger.

For Michael Schulenberg, Tiger Tech Shop manager, this new store space gives people a one-stop for technology needs.

“In former years, we were in a few places across campus, and our name reflected computers only,” said Schulenberg. “This new location, space, and name offers more for everyone and makes getting the technology you need much easier. After all, this is where Tigers get their tech.”

In addition to the ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 17, the celebration continues throughout the week, with raffle prizes drawn on Wednesday and Friday. Campus members are encouraged to stop by and check out all the fun during their open hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. all week. To learn more about Tiger Tech Shop, visit clemsontigertechshop.com
